Martin Lovatt, Global Travel Retail Director: “For such an important UK exclusive launch it was vital we chose the right partner, after a number of key meetings it was clear Watchshop.com shared the same vision, enthusiasm & passion for Kartel as we do, we are very excited to be partnering with the UK’s No1 on line watch retailer.”

WatchShop.com also spoke of their excitement about the collaboration with Ian Begent-Cove, buyer, saying “Kartel has a unique British style we feel fits nicely within our range at Watch Shop, we are very pleased with the addition of the brand to our site”

The inspiration behind Kartel’s new collection comes from their home roots, drawing on the landscape and traditions of Scotland and combining a proud industrial tradition with a deep connection and affinity for the land. What you are left with is a product that you can tell the thought, love and care than went into the design and craftsmanship of each and every timepiece.

Every watch offers precision styling, genuine leather straps, sun-ray dials and date functions as well as unique hand woven tweed straps made all the way in the Outer Hebrides. They are created to be sophisticated and versatile, but also not out of price range.

When asked if I wished to try a piece from the collection, I was instantly drawn to the above unisex Haig watch in “Rose Gold, Warm Grey Forrest” the rose gold face and deep grey strap a real winning point for me. The androgynous design makes it an ideal accessory to dress up or down an outfit and perfect as a gift for someone of either gender. The strap is comfortable, the leather being beautifully soft yet rigid enough to sit comfortably on your wrist. The stitching is strong and each tiny detail perfected.

In fact a lot of their range adopts this same factor making it easy to gift-shop. They are versatile, classic and truly memorable accessories to add to any collection, for any occasion.
