First look: Visit Barrio East Bar Shoreditch for cocktails and a taste of the tango

Date:

For a good old Shoreditch-slap of Latin attitude in the East End, look no further than Barrio East…

Bringing a taste of the tango to Shoreditch High Street, Barrio East offers truly delicious street food, inventive cocktails, and music that will carry you effortlessly from the table to the dancefloor for a night to remember.

Barrio East

An innovative twist, is that the bar has two sides- Barrio Uptown and Barrio Downtown, each one offering an appropriate backdrop to suit the mood. Barrio Uptown offers a more night-life setting, being a marble-bartop speakeasy offering shirt-braced bartenders showing off their skills and creating Barrio’s trademark delicious cocktails, and a DJ to accompany your dancing, or provide a backdrop for one of the intimate booths. Barrio Downtown, is more chilled allowing for a relaxed and casual setting to let your hair down after a busy week at work.Barrio East

Made from reclaimed ship timber and other exquisite materials, it even harbours an entire caravan which has been ripped up (lovingly of course) and customized for you to sit and enjoy.

Whether you wish to visit on a Monday or a Sunday there will always be something for you to enjoy. With DJs and live acts parts of a seven day week entertainment programme, there is no such thing as a dull Sunday evening or the Midweek blues meaning you can visit for a heavy night out, or a mid-week pick me up with friends.

Cocktails include the classic mojito, tommy margarita, Caiprinha and Face Planter, all of which are sure to more than a little smile on your face. Mexican themed food is also a true comforter to the palete, with everything from nachos to ribs, to ceviche de salmon, and a whole host of other delicious dishes.

So, for a night out to remember (perhaps not so well if you are too enticed by the premise of beautiful cocktails) head down to Barrio East. You sure won’t regret it.
