Review: All Bar One Brighton breakfast venue – A classic way to start your day

Date:

Looking for a Brighton breakfast venue? Look no further than All Bar One Brighton…

When it comes to breakfast, sometimes the same old coffee and toast can get rather tedious. And this is why when we were invited to All Bar One Brighton to sample their breakfast for our next meeting, I jumped at the chance. A new Brighton breakfast venue? What could be better?

Al Bar One Breakfast

From the quintessential yet quirky and eclectic decor, to the wide variety of choice on the Menu, All Bar One Brighton would convert even the most stringent of breakfast-haters. We arrived, and it was relatively quiet, largely due to the time of the morning- at 9am people are either at work or cherishing a lay in, but this meant we had a good choice of seats and it was not too noisy to disturb our meeting.

The waitress was absolutely lovely, showing us to our table and fetching us drinks right away- I went for a breakfast tea, Danielle for a green tea, and Emma for an orange juice- at just £1.95 for a large pot of tea, and £2.50 for a generous glass of orange juice, this was more than reasonably priced. The breakfasts were all of a very reasonable price too- at between £4.25 and £7.50 they are cheaper than a lot of other Brighton breakfast venue choices- and a lot nicer too.

I went for the grilled Camembert tostada, a delicious toasted bread with grilled Camembert, plum tomatoes and basil, and priced at a reasonable £5.25. Emma chose the buttermilk pancakes which were drizzled in a sumptuous maple syrup and buried beneath juicy blueberries, strawberries and slices of banana.

This costs a mere £5.75 for three pancakes. Danielle opted for the Vegetarian breakfast- one of the most expensive yet also no purse-buster price of £7.50. This included vegetarian sausages, free range eggs, portobello mushrooms, plum tomatoes and baked beans.

The food took just the right amount of time to arrive, not too long that we grew impatient, yet long enough that you know it is all cooked fresh. It was all cooked and presented absolutely beautifully- almost so much so that it was hard to dig in to. All of the meals were wonderfully flavoursome, with the pancakes in particular being absolutely divine.

Service was friendly, the restaurant was clean, eclectic and a cosy place to sit and watch the world go by. Whatever the purpose for your Brighton breakfast venue – a business meeting or a special breakfast treat, All Bar One is certainly the place to go.
