DAKS AW16 Show Review

Date:

DAKS dreamy Autumn Winter Collection is a real pleaser

This season DAKS presented us with a real treat, making us while away those summer days which are yet to arrive and long for the chilly winter evenings that Autum/Winter of this year has in store.  Presenting a collection that is lavish, stylish and a real aesthetic dream, it is the sort of clothing that you truly do want to wear.

The colour palette played testament to the brilliant sunsets of winter, with burnt orange, black and bright yelllow appearing throughout in a range of different shades and textures. Lightweight chiffons and georgettes created fluid shapes and slick tailoring made for sharp silhouettes. Victorian-style patterns and ruffled necklines offered a nod to the 18th century trend of spring.
DAKS traditional checked-style was intertwined throughout, coming as an anniversary trend was debuted in celebration of 40 years of the DAKS signature print.

DAKS gets better and better with every collection, evolving and changing, yet remaining the go-to for the modern day woman.
