Harts Bakeryharts bakery bristol top places to eat in Bristol

Whether you are in Bristol just for a quick meeting, or a catch up with friends, this is the place we would recommend. Every day, Hart’s has a lunch special (usually £6.50 and absolutely to die for), but they’ve also mastered other everyday classics (pastries, cakes , coffee, you know the sort) that well and truly get us to make the ‘mmm’ groan that every restaurant wants in it’s customers. There are also some other cheaper options – such as the sausage rolls which are just over £3 – if you are on a really tight budget but still want a good quality bite to eat. Believe us, this place definitely does the trick and you’re sure to agree it’s one of the top places to eat in Bristol!

Pigsty

Based at Wapping Wharf in a converted shipping container, Pigsty oozes coolness and attracts pork lovers from afar. Whether you are looking for a snack or a feast to (maybe) share, Pigsty offers you a whole host of mouth-watering treats. We’ve previously gone for something simple, like the Pig Mac and a scotch egg, yet have still been impressed by all of the flavours and the tenderness of the pork. Perfectly placed for exploration of some of Bristol’s best tourist attractions, such as M Shed, and with a wonderful atmosphere, plus a delicious and affordable menu, you can’t go wrong by choosing to dine at Pigsty.

The Stable

The Stable Top places to eat in BristolThe Stable is situated at Bristol’s waterfront and, even aside from their very appetizing menu, you could have a whole night out here and be satisfied. Beautiful wine and cider, live music, pizzas that give you all the heart eyes – not to mention a wonderful setting – basically, everything you could want for a night with friends in Bristol can be found here. Our personal recommendation?  The Wild Rooster pie (chicken, gammon and leek pie filling with a thyme crust) for just £9.50, and a sparkling cider to wash it down. Perfection.

The River Grille

The restaurant for The Bristol Hotel is one of the best places to eat in Bristol. A more formal choice, the beauty of the location, atmosphere and food is unmissable. We’ve tried several options on the menu and have never been disappointed, but their succulent steak is our usual go-to (always paired with an exquisite glass or two of red, of course!) and the service from the staff is notably excellent. A light lunch at the River Grille is nothing short of perfect, with a view that allows you to people watch at the charming Bristol harbor – but for a little extra dazzle, the evening menu and atmosphere is worth getting off the sofa for.

Three Brothers Burgers

Three brothers burgers Top places to eat in BristolBurger and beer heaven on a boat makes this a sure pick for our top places to eat in Bristol. This boat at the harbour serves one of the best burgers we have ever eaten, and with their £5 lunch deal, you can have this and skinny fries for a total bargain. The succulent beef burger (or mushroom burger, if you’re not the carnivorous type) literally tingles taste buds. Like many others in this list, this restaurant really knows it’s beers and ciders, which perfectly complement the burgers they serve up – and, with its buzzy location just off King Street (where some of the best Bristol bars are) it’s definitely hard to resist.
