Living the High Life: Our “Top Spots” Around the World

Date:

Take in the world from a whole new perspective…

I don’t have a fear of heights. Quite the opposite, in fact. I love heights. I love seeing the world from up on high and jump at any invitation to do so. We figured there must be a few other thrill seekers out there who just love living the high life. So we’ve put together a wanderlust listicle for your viewing pleasure. If you’re after a flight of fancy, looking to join the mile high club or simply secretly believe you’re Spiderman, this is the place for you. These gravity defying destinations are the ‘Haute Couture’ of travel that come top of our globe trotting bucket list:

1. Puerto Rico: The Monster

The Monster at Toro Verde is the world’s longest zip line, at 2.5km! Are we excited or what?

5. Bethesda Zip World, Wales

We haven’t been to the Velocity Zip World course in Bethesda, North Wales yet, but we certainly plan to. It’s Europe’s longest zip line and the fastest in the world!

6. The London Eye

Because how could we leave out our own treasured landmark, the Eye of the capital? Throwback to when we spent a Summer evening here sipping gin cocktails high in the sky.High Up: London Eye

7. Sigiriya, Sri Lanka

Climbing Sigiriya is a must-do when visiting Sri-Lanka. It’s an ancient rock fortress, known locally as “The Lion Rock”. Once home to a palace and a monastery, it’s now an ancient ruin with one of the most incredibly views in the country.

 8. Alp Languard, St Moritz

We went hiking here and we can honestly say St Moritz in Switzerland offers some of the most breath-taking views in the world!High up: st Moritz

9. Marina Bay Sands Hotel, Singapore

Besides having one of the most magical infinity pools in the world, Marina Bay Sands is the ultimate aerial resort. It’s supposed to resemble a deck of cards, but we think it looks more like a space submarine!

10. The Burj Khalifa, Dubai

It doesn’t get any better than this. No, seriously. The Burj Khalifa is the world’s tallest building, at 829.8m high! Generally speaking, Dubai is the perfect city for those with a head for heights. It has a LOT of skyscrapers.
