How to Wear Leopard Print for Every Season

Like many trends in fashion, love them or hate them everything comes round again eventually, and leopard print is no exception. In the last two decades leopard print has gone through a lot! From the 00’s when it was perceived as ‘tacky’ to the now considered neutral and wardrobe essential. This controversial print, once worn by the social elite, has trickled its way down in society throughout the years (some say too far) and is now a regularly worn and well known design we see day to day.  But with many brands reinventing this iconic style for a more modern day fit, how do we wear modern day leopard print all year round?

How to Wear Leopard Print for Every Season

Spring

When we think of spring we think florals, pastels and mellow tones of usually bright colours, whereas leopard print may come to mind. However, one of the joys of leopard print is that it is a very versatile print that can adapt to almost any colour combination. Think traditional Spring tones, but with the dynamic patterns of a leopard print with soft pinks, yellows and greens. But this doesn’t have to be in the style of a dress or full outfit, accessories are a great way to add leopard print into your wardrobe in Spring.

Summer

A summer wardrobe is the perfect time of year to go all out and create a collection of bold standout pieces. Neon leopard prints have been trending this year with the end of the pandemic and life feeling more normal, consumers are looking to bring the joy back to their outfits. From bright oranges, greens and purple similar to those at Dancing Leopard, you can create trending styles that also have the classic timeless design of leopard print. Perfect to bring out year after year, a bright leopard print dress, jumpsuit or two piece.

Autumn

The best part about autumn is the changing of the season colours, with warm oranges, bright reds and neutral browns. And we love to reflect this in our wardrobes, with natural hues and layers. Natural leopard print is in its element this season, with the classic browns, oranges and beiges coming out this season. Perfect in a large print on coats, jackets or jumpers. Or if you want a simple touch of this iconic print than boots, a handbag or a hat is a great way to introduce it into your wardrobe.

Winter

As the nights crawl in, so do our bright tones in our wardrobe, this is when navy, blacks and deeper tones come out to play. Opt for a deeper based leopard design, with black print, traditional leopard print design, or a small ditsy leopard design for a less impactful look. Winter is the ideal time to invest in a statement full length coat, and a leopard print one will last you years! Winter is also all about the layers, so why not go for a neutral base with a pop of leopard in the form of a top, trousers or accessories.
