See how we styled flower crowns and where you can make your own…

Flowers are one of the more important parts of a wedding, from the brides bouquet to the reception decor. They can really bring the day to life and these dreamy real flower crowns are our favourite new discovery. Flowers as hair accessories have been a popular choice for years, but flower crowns are only now growing in popularity, as florists are getting playful with the concept and coming up with some truly magical creations!

The crowns are so versatile and can be as big and exaggerated or understated as your like, flowers can go all the way around the crown or can be focused in one area. Such a beautiful, unique and personal accessory choice, and you can even make your own yourself!

Blue Sky Flowers based at Covent Garden Flower Market offer a fantastic workshop to learn to make your own. What a lovely idea for a bunch of flower girls, or the bride and her bridesmaids before the big day! Also great fun as part of a hen party! Although don’t expect them to last for the wedding unless you opt for the fake flowers! (Which I must say, were extremely realistic and almost as beautiful as the real thing!) Plus the crown doubles up as a lovely permanent reminder of the wonderful big day.

Have a wander around Covent Garden Flower Market to choose from the array of seasonal English flowers as well as unusual types from around the world before heading into the attached workshop to get started on your very own creation!

These crowns are perfect for a bride who wants something a bit different and likes easy comfortable accessories. The crowns work brilliantly with a soft, natural, hair down look, but can also be really beautifully worked into up –dos. They compliment virtually any dress style and are a brilliant, easy to wear, easy to do choice. Just plonk it on when you’re ready and your set to go! A simple ribbon at the back holds the crown tightly but comfortably to your head and you soon forget its there!

Take a look at how we styled one of the real flower crowns made with Blue Sky Flowers to show how delicately they enhance and romanticise a simple look perfect for a summer wedding.
