Bali’s Top 5 Beach Bars

Date:

Look no further than Balis beach bars for beachfront cocktails and pure paradise…

Bali offers an eclectic mix of bars and hangouts amid their beaches, so we’ve put together some of Balis top beach bars as well as some handy tips along the way…

Kuta beach – Velvet Hypnotised
Kuta is the main drag, it is a famous beach but crowded and there can be terrible traffic in peak season. It’s better to sit upstairs at the Velvet Hypnotized (VH) – open air restaurant on the third floor of Beachwalk Mall across the road from the beach – for sunset drinks. The mall is also good for shopping – especially clothes.

Canggu Beach – Echo Beach, House
Great for beachside food – eat at the restaurant called “Echo Beach” – not at any of the places nearer the entrance. Head left to the end of the row of restaurants as you come in the entrance and you will reach Echo Beach where you will be greeted with a huge selection of delicious food. This is much quieter than the main drag, but you can still hire loungers and umbrellas – and get beer brought to you.

Uluwatu Beach – Delphi Rock Café

This is situated in the southern part of the island. Head down lots of steps, then up some more and you come to a restaurant perched on the cliff overlooking the sea. A good location to relax and watch the sunset, or any time for watching the surfers down below. The walk to it is precarious, and not for young kids or anyone less steady on their feet.

Batu Belig Beach – Mozaic Beach Club

This is north of the main drag at the end of Jalan Batu Belig. There are two types of place here: Mozaic Beach Club is yet another place for sunset cocktails – (arrive early if you want a beachfront table), while further along there are a number of informal beach bars with cheap beer and food. The beach is still quiet compared to Kuta, but getting busier. Cantina at the far end is an unofficial gay-ish place and has beanbags on the beach.
Mosaic Beach Club

Unique Rooftop bar and restaurant

By day, Unique is a chic pool club and by night it turns into a hubbub of activity. A spectactular sunset spot it serves spectacular cofktails and rolling views from its rooftop location. It’s design is contemporary and cool and its food delicious. Well worth a visit for treetop views, delicious tipples and a buzzing atmosphere.
