A flavoured fizz to bring back summer
Perisecco is a sparkling aromatised wine, (don’t get too excited by the name, it’s in no way a Prosecco) however that doesn’t mean it’s not delicious. The flavours are all refreshing and fruity and most importantly give you a hit of our long lost summer...
There are a range of flavours available including orange, lemon, hibiscus. We had the pleasure of trying ‘Iced Melon’ and ‘Cucumber’. The colourful drink comes in what I would recognise as a Prosecco shaped bottle, with a slightly frosted finish.
Perisecco Iced Melon
A bright light red in colour, the aroma of the drink smells like a bag of haribo starmix. Those of you with a sugary tooth will enjoy this super sweet and fruity beverage. The flavours include a hint of elderflower, melon and mint – it’s very refreshing and perfect for quenching thirst, the melon is the standout flavour and is extra tasty served over ice.
Perisecco Cucumber
It is a crisp, pale lime green in colour, the hints of elderflower and mint are evident although the familiar smell of cucumber overbears the drink. This is also a very sweet drink, although not quite as sweet as the melon flavour. Equally as fresh and aesthetically pleasing – it goes down very easy for an alcoholic drink!
Perisecco is perfect for inducing those Summer vibes we all know and love, it could also work great as part of a cocktail or as a replacement for a mixer. Instead of our regular vodka lemonade, we tried a vodka Perisecco, makes for a nice change. Although this does obviously increase the volume of alcohol that you would usually intake with a spirit mixer, so be aware of that!
The drink retails in Tesco for just £3.99 and you can view the full range here
