Review: York & Albany for an unmissable dining experience

Experience a whole new meaning to romantic summer dining in London…

Summer in London, whilst undoubtedly exciting, also brings with it throngs of sweaty bodies, an amass of disgruntled shoppers and that stagnant kind of heat only cities seem to hold. But now there is somewhere within the city to escape from the hustle and bustle and retreat to a picturesque setting without even stepping foot out of London. And that is York & Albany in Camden.

London Summer York and AlbanyDine under a romantic canopy of vines, grapes and flowers inspired by a British vineyard, whilst indulging in a menu that celebrates the best of British produce and wines.
Part of the Gordon Ramsay group, the York & Albany is set to be a popular date night venue this summer, particularly because once the sun goes down, the vineyard will be lit purely by candlelight.

The restaurant’s summer menu will offer an exciting array of dishes and an extensive wine list to match – both championing local British produce. Dishes include locally-sourced charcuterie with home-baked bread and pickles and indulgent cinnamon sugar and rhubarb doughnuts. British wine options come from Chapel Down, an award-winning winery located in the heart of Kent, include Chapel Down Brut Blanc de Blancs and Chapel Down Brut Rosé.

In case this is not enough and you really want to immerse yourself, the pop up will also offer you  the chance to brush up on your British wine knowledge with masterclasses led by one of the Gordon Ramsay Group’s sommeliers. Also on offer is the Grape Escape Package* costing £30 per person for groups of up to five people (£25 per person for groups of six or more) which include a grape-crushing experience, world-wide wine masterclass, a selection of small plates and flight of five wines per person.

The al fresco vineyard pop-up at York & Albany is open for the public and private parties to enjoy from now until 30th September 2016.
