Film watching nowadays is so much more than just a quick trip to the movie theatre (as you can see here in our top five most quirky cinemas) and just when we thoughts cinema trips couldn’t get any more amazing, we discovered Snow Kingdom cinema…

Backyard cinema have created a hidden ice kingdom buried deep within the heart of London. You have to travel through secret caves of ice and journey across a frozen lake before you discover an enchanted castle similar to the likes you’ve only ever read about in fairy tales.

Following your voyage you will be welcomed into the grand ballroom where you can feast on warm popcorn and indulge on delicious winter warmer cocktails. You can then wrap yourself in a cosy blanket and enjoy your favourite films from the cosiest cinema you’ll ever experience.

Films range through all the classics from Harry Potter to Titanic to the newly remade Beauty and the Beast. There are regular showings so check out the timetable here to find what you want to watch.

The Backyard Cinema started just a few years ago as a small homemade project with an audience of a mere 12 people and now reaches more than 12,000 people, having been famed for their wacky and uniquely immersive cinema experiences. Summer saw sunshine experiences complete with sand and ice cream and this is set to be just as (if not more) amazing.

Tickets for Backyard Cinema’s Secret Snow Kingdom start from £17 for adults and £9.50 for children under 12. There are a few limited edition early bird tickets on offer, so if you head there quickly you can get 20% off!
