Whether you are an artist yourself or an avid Potter-head, on the 3rd October you have the chance to meet the man behind the stunning new illustrated editions of Harry Potter. Jim Kay will be talking about his artwork, concepts and what it is like to re-imagine the world of Harry Potter for the new editions. This event is the same day as the latest illustrated book (The Prisoner of Azkaban) is launched and you will get the chance to get your copy signed and stamped.

2Watch a comedy show & raise money for the British Heart Foundation

Head to Komedia to watch the fifth Cardiac Comedy show, a comedy show dedicated especially to raising funds for the British Heart Foundation charity. Comedians include Dan Evans, Carl Donnelly, Zoe Lyons, Simon Evans and MC Dave Blood. Only open to those 18 years and older.

3Start your day with a healthy early morning rave

On a health kick but sick of the gym? Head to Rise and Shine – a PreWork Clubbercise and YogaRave! Alcohol free, it’s an immersive early morning rave experience/ dance party and the ultimate wake up call. Standard entry includes free clubbercise and workout sessions, access to the rave floor, free yoga and free massages.There will also be a range of healthy food and juices available on the day.

4Attend a Halloween Make up workshop

Brighton what to do

Learn to make your own Halloween look with this workshop. Makeup artist Amy will demonstrate all the techniques needed, show you a makeup look then teach you to start your own creation under her guidance. This is a hands on workshop with a light lunch provided. All makeup brushes, sponges and decoration will be provided by the Sussex Makeup Academy although if you have any extra bits you want to bring to finish your look, feel free to do so.
