Celebrate the 90th birthday of one of London’s most iconic restaurants Quaglino’s…

London is a city where new restaurants are popping up all the time, with many that come and go before you’ve even registered they’ve opened. This is why it takes something truly special to stand the test of time amid the cut-throat foodie scene in the city. And one such restaurant is Quaglino’s. A truly iconic eatery, Quaglino’s has seen it all. And this year it celebrates its 90th birthday – and you’re invited…

Quaglino's London 90th anniversary Quaglino’s first opened in 1929 – the height of American prohibition. Patronised by the Mountbattens, King Edward VIII and Evelyn Waugh in the 1930s – the venue has played host to the most distinguished and famous names, with a story or two to tell! It holds rumours such as of Barbara Cartland in her debutante days finding a pearl in her oyster, Princess Diana making sneaky entrances through to Quaglino’s kitchen to being the first ever public restaurant The Queen visited as monarch in 1956.

Quaglino's London 90th anniversary If you were to write down the past of Quaglino’s, it would fill books. And now you are invited to write your own story on Wednesday 2nd October. The restaurant is hosting an evening of eclectic celebrations to mark its milestone birthday. Executive Chef, Nuno Goncalves has created a menu inspired by the last 90 years, showcasing all-time favourite dishes with Jersey oyster aux Gratin, Oscietra caviar and Dover sole a la Grenobloise, which will be accompanied by exclusive Moët & Chandon packages in honour of the occasion.

Quaglino's London 90th anniversary Over at the bar the juggernaut team will welcome an incredible international roster of bars featured in Asia’s 50 Best Bars and one of the World’s 50 best that will host individual takeovers for one night only in partnership with Mancino Vermouth and Casamigos Tequila.

Quaglino's London 90th anniversary Alongside the exciting food & drink offerings, the restaurant commemorates the evolving music and styles of each decade with entertainment to match. The famous stage, host to many of the biggest names since 1929 will welcome special guest performers and DJs will pay homage to the history of the iconic venue.
