What’s new to the Boxpark foodie scene this January?

Fill your boots with all the street food you can muster with Boxpark’s new additions throughout the capital…

If you’re yet to have visited a Boxpark in London, then firstly where have you been? And secondly, it’s ok, there’s still time to rectify it! For this January London’s coolest renovated shipping containers are bringing a host of new culinary delights to the capital. From tempting vegan dessert to Filipino fusion food and Pan-Asian cuisine the food traders are really upping their game.

Fancy finding a new pleasure without the guilt this Veganuary? A selection of new delicious vegan desserts are swooping in to satisfy sweet tooths in Shoreditch.

With its usual spot in Acklam Village Market (just off Portobello Road), Humbledough is excited to announce its second site, at Boxpark Shoreditch. Opening on January 14th, Humbledough at Boxpark will see the launch of the nation’s first Vegan & Gluten Free Scratch Bakery, offering freshly mixed raw edible Cookie Dough, freshly baked Cookies and Specialty Vegan Coffee. This site also marks the launch of its first Oat and Granola based breakfast cookies, and a range of other cookies will be available too. The menu will boast three new dough pot flavours exclusive to Boxpark Shoreditch – Hiimalayan Salted Caramel, Black Forest Sour Cherry, and Organic Bourbon Vanilla dough. Other mouth-watering vegan cookie dough pots available include the Cashew Caramel Banoffee Pie, Chocolate Mandarin and Orange, Black Mitcham Mint Chocolate Chip, Lemon Meringue Pie and Peanut Raspberry Compote.

In addition to desserts, Humbledough has partnered with Saint Roasters, producing carefully-sourced coffee with the beans roasted within a mile of Boxpark. It will serve a specialty blend coffee paired with the Humbledough Seasonal menu (made with oat milk, of course). Prices for the Vegan Cookie Dough pots start from £3.45, Vegan Cookies from £2 and Specialty Coffees from £2.

Coming to Boxpark Croydon on January 7th is Pan-Asian street food trader Kanji, offering Bibimap – arguably one of the most loved Korean dishes in the UK, which comprises of a bowl of warm white rice topped with namul or kimchi and gochujang, soy sauce, or doenjang.

With two other pop-up sites in London, Kanji will be the only trader offering Bibimap at Boxpark Croydon. Its best-selling dish is the flavour-bursting sweet and spicy chicken and the menu boasts fresh, quality Korean food. Dishes will range between £6 to £8.50.

Soon to be added to Boxpark Wembley’s roster of eateries is T4 Bubble Tea and Spoon & Rice. The bubble tea hype continues to grow in London and the Taiwanese treat, T4 Bubble Tea is coming to Boxpark Wembley on January 10th. Founded in Taiwan in 2004, T4 serves bubble tea, fruit tea, milkshakes and smoothies – all prepared from the finest leaves by experienced tea masters. Its most popular drink is the ‘Pearl Milk Tea’ and the menu will soon boast waffles too. Drink prices range between £3 to £6.

Filipino food has long been an underdog in Asian cuisine, but over the past few years, there has been a significant rise of Filipino restaurants appearing on London’s food scene. Boxpark Wembley is bringing the flavours from the Philippines to the capital with Spoon & Rice, opening on January 27th. Spoon & Rice is spearheading Filipino cuisine in the UK through street food, serving favourites such as Pinoy BBQ Chicken and Manila BBQ Pork Belly, with dishes starting from £4. It has proudly perfected homemade Filipino street food to suit the Western palate.2020 is due to be a food-fuelled year for Boxpark with a variety of new dining and drinking options in the pipeline across each venue.
