Starting from today, visitors to Covent Garden are invited to get loved up in honor of valentines day. A host of shops from Charlotte Tilbury and Penhaligons to Godiva and Hotel Chocolat are getting on board to help celebrate the most romantic time of the year. Launching this Galentine’s Day, Dominique Ansel has taken over Covent Garden’s much-Instagrammed Infinity Chamber, transforming into a secret garden path for romantic strollers and providing the perfect background for Instagram snaps.

Tomorrow, you can toast your love affairs with a special Valentine’s Happy Hour in partnership with Covent Grind, with £6 martinis, Meanwhile, down the road at 7 James Street, Twitter is inviting visitors to experience the #DatingTwitter Advice Bureau, where the social media platform will bring a tongue-in-cheek lens to 21st century dating, as it recreates familiar scenarios from first dates and ghosting to keeping the romance alive in long term relationships. Complete with interactive tweets and photo installations, the experience will run until Sunday 16th February.

To make the most of the festival of love, couples celebrating Valentine’s Day with date night in town can head to The Petersham, where bouquets and bottles of prosecco will be delivered to the table upon arrival, or Sushisamba and VyTa, which are each offering a specially curated Valentine’s Day menu. If you really want to impress your date, pick up a gift en route from Tiffany & Co or Jo Malone, where jewelry and fragrances can be personalized with engraving and hand embossing. Or, if you’re planning on really splashing out, book into Penhaligons on 15th February for a luxury fragrance profiling experience, where you’ll each receive a glass of English sparkling wine, along with a bouquet from renowned florists Moyses & Stevens. The scent of love is truly hanging in the air!
