Little Venice to Camden Canal

This beautiful canal stretches about 2 miles long, starting at Little Venice it passes through regents park where you might be able to spot some wildlife at the London Zoo, take in the barges and boats that sit along the canals and end up in Camden where you can head on over to the famous Camden Market for an end of walk snack. If you are looking for a peaceful stroll in London then this canal walk is for you. 

Tower Bridge to Westminster Bridge

Next on our list of top London canal walks is a great choice for seeing the city. If you are wanting to take in a few of the sights along your canal walk then the Tower Bridge to Westminster Bridge is a great choice. Start your journey at the Tower of London and stroll along the south bank, you will take in the sites of the Globe Theatre, Tate Modern and London’s skyline and eventually end up at Westminster bridge. The walk is a total of 2.4 miles (without any detours on the way)! 

The Paddington Arm

If you love a long walk then the Paddington Arm is one of the top London canal walks you should try. It is a 13.6 mile stretch starting at Little Venice and finishing at Bull Bridge Junction in Slough. Head through the suburbs of West London enjoying the abundance of restaurants, bars and cafes. You will get to experience all London has to offer on this walk, if you are looking for a bit of fun then why not make this walk into a pub crawl. Visit the likes of the Archery Tavern, Bridge house, Grand Junction Arms, Swan Inn, Warwick Castle plus many more. Although if you do choose the pub crawl option make sure you take it easy so you can enjoy the full 13miles of scenery the Paddington Arm canal walk has to offer.

King’s Cross to Hackney

When deciding on which of London’s canal walks you would like to take then consider a stroll along The Regents Canal, which starts at Kings Cross and ends at Hackney. On your walk along the Regents Canal, you will pass the River Thames, Paddington and Camden. It has a mix of boat moorings, nature reserves and heritage buildings for you to take in and admire. Take a picnic and enjoy a spot of lunch in Regents Park before you head off. The walk is roughly 3.5 miles, so the perfect distance for a post lunch walk.
