New research commissioned by foli8 has estimated that Brits will spend £4.6 billion this year alone*. The top reason Brits are buying houseplants is to enhance or improve their interiors (51%). Currently 77% of households own a houseplant, with each household owning around eight plants, which equates to 5.8 million houseplants in British homes. With such a huge amount of plants purchases, this means there is a potential for a large amount of plastic pot waste. Each year the UK gets through half a billion plastic pots and while some can be recycled, many end up in a landfill or are incinerated.

Stemming from two-generations of horticulturalists, foli8 is the new online platform of parent company, Planteria Group, an independent, family-run business with over 45-years of corporate planting experience. Planteria Group have worked with some of the most iconic London landmarks, from The Savory and The Landmark Hotel, to one of the most famous department stores in Knightsbridge. foli8 customers will now be able to receive the same stunning planting experience within their homes, as they would have seen in these world-renowned institutions.
