The Chesterfield Arms is finally welcoming guests following a six-figure investment in renovations

The Chesterfield Arms finally reopens its doors with a stunning remodel. The Chesterfield renovations have elevated the traditional pub experience Londoners have been attracted to since the building opened its doors as a classic pub in 1737. Find out just what to expect…

Renovated Exterior The Chesterfield Arms

The Chesterfield Arms is found burrowed in a perfectly charming spot, just between Green and Hyde Park in an unmistakably new yet classic red signage colour. If coming from Green Park Station, you will enjoy a lovely park side stroll before turning off into the intimate cobblestone quarter the pub is located within.

Upon arriving you will be immersed in the vintage atmosphere. Simultaneously luxurious and cosy, this pub is filled with warm lighting, exposed wood, parquet flooring and deep mahogany tones. The two-story pub embraces you with an allure of effortless cool. The Chesterfield Arms will be a new favourite for those seeking superior British drinks and cuisine with the quintessential pub ambience.

The Metropolitan Pub Company, which has overtaken what was previously The Shepherd’s Tavern, has reinstituted the pub’s original name, The Chesterfield Arms in addition to inputting a six-figure renovation to revitalise the over 287-year-old historic building.

Restaurant Seating

The wine list at The Chesterfield has been reimagined in partnership with the seasonal (and classic) pub dishes and the newly installed tall wine fridge allows for more wine choosings than ever. As for beers, there are plenty of IPAs on offer as well as a selection of national and local brewery selections available on tap.

Among the many dishes offered at The Chesterfield Arms is the Pan-friend lamb sweetbreads for a starter, or the Confit duck leg with caramelised chicory, morel jus and garlic pommes puree entree. For dessert, you can choose from plates like the Autumn berry parfait or Beaubale blue cheese. If you’re looking for something lighter, consider one of the several starters like Scampi with tartare sauce or the Gruyere & onion cheese straws. The modernisation of the pub’s menu is welcomed as a means of creating an exemplary after-work oasis.

Chesterfield Meat Entree

The Chesterfield Arms General Manager, Rudi Bouwer shared that, “Our guests are at the heart of everything we do, and we’re excited to welcome guests back to the pub that’s looking more charming and inviting than ever before.”

Upstairs you will discover additional light fixtures that continue to feed the warm glow of the pub. The Dining room has been seamlessly refurbished with the natural fervour offered by the bottle green leather upholstery. Additionally, the all-new service bar supplements the top-tier hospitality provided at The Chesterfield Arms.
