Review: The Lennox Hotel Miami Beach, a slice of boutique paradise

Date:

There is something about the Lennox Hotel Miami Beach that will entice you in and make you want to stay. Find out just why we loved our stay here so much and how you can book yourself in our review of the Lennox Hotel Miami beach…

There is something about South Beach in Miami that just draws me back. I’m not sure whether it is the weather, the laid back attitude or the beautiful scenery, but I can’t seem to stay away. It is my second trip here in twelve months when I visit the Lennox Hotel Miami and I am already wondering just when I can plan another. For one holiday here never feels quite enough. The sun is beating gently down and I am making my way to the Lennox Miami beach, one of the state’s newer openings. Miami is well known for its art-deco architecture and the Lennox Hotel Miami is no different. Ideally situated in the historic district of Miami Beach, it marries together the original Art Deco and Mediterranean Revival architectural style exterior with contemporary luxury.

The Hotel

Previously the Peter Miller Hotel, The Lennox Hotel Miami is a structure made of four interconnected buildings and is steeped in a rich history. The exterior facade is beautiful and inspiring without being over the top, simply welcoming you in and having you wonder about what the rest of the building has to offer. Step inside the grand double doors and you are greeted with a bright and airy lobby, infused with eye-catching features. The staff at the reception are friendly and helpful and lead us to our room with a smile. A lot of the Hotel is outside and you feel in a tropic oasis as you meander through the hallways. Their signature scent is both luxurious and welcoming and you just know you are somewhere special.

The Room

Our room is a balcony king room on the top floor and we have a beautiful view of the pool and the city of Miami just beyond. Rooms are generously proportioned and come in tasteful neutral shades, fusing together natural elements such as wood and greenery, designed to bring the outdoors in. The room is steeped in beautiful Miami sunlight, bouncing off the surfaces and highlighting the large bed that lies center place in the room. Crisp white linen and deliciously fat pillows just beg to be slept on, while a stylish green throw lays draped over the end of the bed. A beautiful green rug sits on the floor, shades of palm trees and luscious greenery and a quirky mirror sits on the wall above the headboard. The furnishings are all crafted in Patagonia and brought to the Hotel by esteemed interior designer Juan Ciavarella and his Handford Design SA company. I throw open the doors to the balcony and am greeted with the hot Miami air enveloping me like a hug. It’s a beautiful spot to curl up with a cup of coffee from the in-room facilities in the morning, or sip a glass of wine and watch the sunset in the evening. The bathroom is also beautiful, with sleek marble tiles, a large mirror above the sink, and a rain shower.

The Pool

Being more of a boutique hotel, the pool at the Lennox Miami isn’t an overly large and flashy one. Like much of the hotel, it is sleek, understated and absolutely perfect. The courtyard area is a true oasis, with plush loungers ideal for soaking up the sun or sipping on a signature cocktail, palm trees swaying gently in a near non-existent breeze. Service is top-notch and the staff are over in an instant with a glass of water and menu. It’s easy to while your days away here and you forget you are in the middle of a city.

To Dine

Lennox Hotel Miami Beach

Dining at the Lennox Miami is an experience unto itself. Their restaurant, Amalia celebrates Mediterranean cuisine with natural and seasonal products. They pride themselves on making dining both an art and a pleasure, utilising contemporary techniques and flavour combinations “to provide a touch of the avant-garde in every dish.” The space is stylish, relaxed and yet also somewhere you feel special to be. Chairs are in a green and pink upholstery, luscious greenery is placed throughout and a terrace begs for languid evenings spent dining under the stars. Breakfast includes all your traditional options such as pastries, pancakes and oatmeal, lunch a range of salads and sandwiches as well as mains like steak or fish. Round off with a decadent dessert and coffee, really taking in the abundance of flavours and sensations you will experience here. As with the staff in all other areas of the hotel, their service is exceptional. They are friendly and attentive without being overbearing, having our table set up for us for breakfast each morning and remembering our orders without us even having to say anything. It is these small things that make the Lennox Hotel Miami a real step above the rest. You feel part of the family, but you also feel like a VIP from the moment you step through the door. Nothing is too much trouble and they almost seem to guess what it is you will need before you even ask.

The Area

Loews Miami Beach Hotel review

The Lennox Hotel Miami is perfectly situated. It is a short walk to the beach, or you can enjoy pick-up and drop-off transportation directly from the hotel. They have a shuttle that will take you right to the crystal clear waters and soft white sands of Miami Beach, where they also have complimentary sun loungers and a private beach area for guests of the hotel. You are a walk from attractions such as the Time Out food market, Espanola Way, and a range of restaurants and bars such as Los Fuegos, Nobu, and the Sugar Factory.

We fell in love with the Lennox Hotel Miami Beach from the second we arrived and it was with a heavy heart that we had to pack up our bags to leave. It is a hotel that has everything you could ever wish for in your break to Miami Beach. It is beautiful, luxurious and welcomes you in with open arms. It is glamorous, exciting yet also a real reprieve from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. When you are heading to Miami, it is a no-brainer where to stay. We would recommend the Lennox Hotel Miami every single time.
