Modern Italian & Mediterranean restaurant Sparrow has officially opened its doors in the heart of Mayfair and you don’t want to miss it…

When looking for fine Italian dining in Mayfair, look no further than Sparrow. Since their successful debut of Sparrow Italia in Los Angeles in 2021, lifestyle hospitality group Noble 33 will launch their first international branch of Sparrow in Mayfair this October.

What is Sparrow Mayfair like inside?

Open from Tuesday through Saturday for dinner service, there are seats for 189 diners with a ground-level brasserie, terrace dining room, parlour room and top floor cigar lounge. The restaurant’s design includes neutral tones with accents of emerald and blue, modern light fixtures, and materials such as marble, tile insets, and wood, all contributing to the romantic coastal Italian and Mediterranean aesthetic. Sparrow offers a high-energy fine dining experience to the London restaurant scene, with nightly entertainment including live DJs and musicians.

What is the food like at Sparrow Mayfair?

The food at Sparrow Mayfair is designed to transport guests to the enchanting southern European coast, with a modern twist on traditional Italian and Mediterranean dishes. The menu includes fresh seafood, homemade pastas, and a selection of Mediterranean classics that exude bold flavours and high-quality, sustainable, and organic ingredients.

Menu highlights are Sparrow classics such as a Salt Crusted Red Snapper made for two served with crispy baby potatoes, Cacio e Pepe, served tableside from a Tuscan pecorino cheese wheel with parmesan and chitarra pasta, as well as Sparrow’s staple A5 Carpaccio, thinly sliced wagyu served with pickled seasonal mushrooms, umami aioli, and freshly shaved black truffles. 

Exclusive dishes created for London include a Lobster Linguine, made with British Isles lobster with a acqua pazza and lemon-parsley butter, Monkfish Livornaise served with manila clams, fresh tomatoes, wild cabbage, and brodo. Other notable London-exclusive menu additions include a Red Prawn Carpaccio and Caviar created with osetra caviar, amalfi lemon aioli, fresh calabrian chile, and olive oil, and The Sparrow Fusilli made with homemade fusilli, pomodoro, burro di parma, and fresh basil.

What cocktails are at Sparrow Mayfair?

The food is complemented by adventurous mixology that uses fresh, seasonal ingredients and the finest spirits to craft dynamic cocktails all rooted in the flavours of Italy. Guests can enjoy Sparrow signature cocktails: Basilicata made with Amaro Lucano, strawberry, Aperol, Campari, lemon, simple syrup, basil, and strawberry air and the Sicily made with blanco tequila, dry vermouth, lime, agave, orgeat, guava, Averna, bitters, torched rosemary air, absinthe, and fire.

Those looking to be transported to the Italian coastline should try the Abruzzo made with Malfy blood orange gin, orange vermouth, amaro, walnut infused amaro abano, nocino, orange oil, and walnut smoke.
