Hot Stone, Fitzrovia
Japanese sushi and steak restaurant, Hot Stone, is opening on Fitzrovia’s Windmill Street, a beautiful sister restaurant, to the Islington original. Executive Chef Padam Raj Rai’s menu includes Hot Stone’s signature Ishiyaki fare – inspired by the historic Japanese art of cooking on hot stones – alongside spectacular, freshly prepared sushi, sashimi and seasonally changing hot dishes such as 48-hour marinated black cod, homemade tofu and new to Fitzrovia: Hamachi cheeks. The menu will also feature certified Kobe beef – Hot Stone Fitzrovia being one of just eight restaurants in the UK to serve this – and freshly grated Japanese wasabi.
NYX Hotel London Holborn

Sabine, London’s newest rooftop bar, will open in the heart of St Paul’s on Godliman Street come 20th May. SUMI, Notting Hill
SUMI in Notting Hill is the casual little sister to the Michelin-starred Endo at Rotunda. SUMI – named after sushi master Endo Kazutoshi’s mother – offers diners a unique sensory experience. The significant interaction between sushi masters and their guests seen at Endo at Rotunda, has also been carried into SUMI and its menu, which celebrates provenance and the freshest, most beautiful ingredients. Ready to open for inside dining on 18th May, the restaurant is elegant and calming with pale wood panelling, traditional white tiling and rattan accents. Head Chef Yasuda Akinori (previously of Zuma), will serve a refined yet approachable menu using impeccably sourced ingredients, including fresh fish from a network of suppliers Chef Endo knows personally.
Rudy’s Vegan Diner, Islington
Following the success of the brand’s debut site in Camden and the opening of the world’s first vegan butcher in November 2020, Rudy’s Vegan Diner is opening its second restaurant on Islington’s Upper Street. The menu will offer the brand’s signature veganised versions of classic American junk food dishes, with highlights such as the Rudy’s Burger, the Rubenz and mac ‘n’ cheeze. Add to this dairy-free freakshakes and cocktails on tap, courtesy of Liberation Cocktails, and Rudy’s Vegan diner has you covered whatever your dietary requirements. A diner with a difference, Rudy’s looks fresh AF with diner-style booths and a jukebox and customers can pop to the butcher next door for a whole host of vegan meats and deli products. Heritage, Dulwich
New fine-dining Indian restaurant, Heritage, will open on Rosendale Road, West Dulwich with Executive Chef Dayashankar Sharma at the helm. Drawing on 30 years of culinary experience, including Michelin-starred Tamarind and Kensington classic Zaika, Heritage is set to be South London’s new destination restaurant. Explore refined tasting menus, celebrating traditional and authentic Indian recipes and ingredients, elevated with seasonal produce, or order from the à la carte menu made up of regional small plates, kebabs, tikkas and curry dishes with bold, signature flavours.
