Ground-breaking immersive entertainment company, Swamp Motel, is back with a completely original immersive dining experience for Christmas – Velvet Pines, opening in London Bridge on 7 November and running until 23 December 2023.
Renowned for creating boundary-pushing experiences such as Saint Jude and The Drop, Swamp Motel’s Velvet Pines will combine impressive immersive design with a mouth-watering menu and full throttle cabaret to create the ultimate festive party – where it’s all about the après.
Popping up in London for a limited time and the ideal party experience for groups, guests will be welcomed into snow-covered mountain hotel and ski resort, Velvet Pines, for an electric night of delicious food, inventive cocktails, wild cabaret and performance.
Having been hit hard by an extreme snowstorm and electrical shortage, Velvet Pines is relying on a healthy dose of good cheer, the finest food from the resort’s reserves and the hidden talents of its quirky staff to keep everyone entertained.
The incoming blizzard may be disrupting the power supply, but the remaining staff soldier on, maintaining the standard their party-loving guests would expect from this glamourous, 70’s inspired European resort. Throughout the three and a half hour experience, revellers will be entertained at every turn while the storm rages on outside.
Settling into The Grand Lodge for the core of the evening, guests will enjoy a truly unique gastronomic experience. Designed to thrill, surprise and boggle the senses, the menu has been created by MasterChef finalist Omar Foster with a range of dishes that will delight carnivores, vegetarians and vegans alike.
Paced to allow the diners to enjoy the music, cabaret and surprise interactions, the food and the entertainment act as a counter to the rumblings outside where the extreme weather and mysterious prowling yeti make escape impossible.
Thanks to the tempestuous storm outside, Velvet Pines’ planned headline acts haven’t made it to the resort (are they caught in a snowdrift or has the yeti attacked? It’s anyone’s guess) but the show must go on. The hotel’s remarkable staff step up to the plate to deliver a cabaret show guaranteed to blow the audience away and reveal a whole host of hidden talents.
