How to Make Time Pass Faster when Working Out

If you feel as though the hour you spend at the gym feels more like a year, then now is the time for you to do something about that. There are numerous things you can do to make time feel as though it’s passing faster, and if you use this guide, you’ll see a notable improvement in how you feel.

Wear the Right Clothes

Wearing the right clothes is so important when the time comes for you to hit the gym. If your pants are always getting caught up when you are using the exercise bike or if you find that your shoes rub when you are running then this will make each minute feel as though it is taking an hour. Buy the right gear and make sure that you are always investing in your workouts, as this is the best way for you to get the result you are looking for.

Be Comfortable

If you don’t feel comfortable when you are working out then time will drag. You need to take the time to sign up with a gym that you feel comfortable at, and that allows you to achieve your goals. If you feel as though you’re currently going to a gym that is dominated by men, then finding another gym with more women might help you to make friends and feel a little more at ease. If you’re a man and your local gym offers yoga classes when in reality you’d rather focus on weightlifting, then finding a gym that can help you to accommodate this is always a good thing. If you feel more at ease then this will help time to pass you by faster, as you won’t spend every waking moment feeling awkward.

Entertain Yourself

Nothing makes time fly by faster than being entertained. If you have a podcast that you love then workouts are great if you want to catch up on them. If you have a new TV show that you have been meaning to catch up with then watch this while you workout, or while you are cycling away on the exercise bike. Other options include creating a workout playlist before you hit the gym, so when you get there you know you have a bunch of motivating songs to keep you going when you begin to tire out. Little things like this can make a huge difference to your performance at the gym, and it can also make your time feel as though it is flying by.

Don’t Make It a Chore

Finding things that fit in with your lifestyle is also important. Don’t feel as though you need to overhaul your lifestyle and miss out on the takeaways that you love. As long as you are putting in the work, you can still have a few drinks when going out with friends and you can also have a takeaway to celebrate a recent achievement at work. If you make sure that fitness is not a chore that is sapping all of the enjoyment from your life, then this will help you to achieve your goals way more efficiently.
