Z Hotel Victoria – Affordable luxury rooms in the heart of London

A look at Z Hotel Victoria – A convenient and luxury base right next to Victoria station…

So often when Hoteliers create “convenience” hotels they seem to forget that while guests are looking for a great location, they also want somewhere that is habitable to sleep. After all, just because you are paying for a desirable postcode, it doesn’t mean you need to compromise on, well, everything else. And this is something that Z Hotel Victoria proves.

Z Hotels Victoria Review

Z Hotel Victoria is based just round the corner from its namesake, so a hop skip and jump away from one of the cities main transport links. It has a modest exterior with large glass windows looking into the on-site eatery – Z café and a light brick façade. Reception staff check us in quickly and efficiently and we are lead to our room. It is a no frills hotel, opting for function imbued with hints of contemporary styling and it fulfils its purpose well.  The rooms aren’t overly large, but they are clever with the space. A double bed sits against a wall with handy storage space beneath, a desk and chair is under a window, television on the wall, hooks on the door and a bathroom separated by frosted glass is installed in another corner. There is more than enough space to store your things, the bed is comfortable and the waterfall shower is a welcome reprieve after a day of dashing about the city.

Z hotels have a concept that the room service doesn’t come to you, you come to the room service – and this is something we first found odd, but soon grew to love. Z Café is a great space – enough atmosphere to enjoy a glass of wine or lunch with companions and functional enough to get work done when travelling solo. Breakfast and lunch are served buffet style with a selection of delicious offerings such as pastries and fruit to the side of the room.

Z Hotel Victoria ReviewOne of the real highlights to this hotel is that if you are a guest, they offer you free unlimited cheese and wine between 5pm-8pm. There are a great selection of cheeses, chutneys, grapes, crackers and breads with a wine choice to match.Z Hotels Victoria Review

Whether looking to relax post-work or to start an evening out in style, it’s a really nice touch and something that further sets it apart from other similar style Hotels.

Location wise, you are right near to central bus, tube and train links, making it a great spot for exploring both London and further afield. Whether staying for one night or more it is a convenient and comfortable location, providing all you could need and more.

Head to Z Hotel Victoria for a central and practical stay that proves you can combine simplicity with comfort. And if that isn’t enough to convince you, the cheese and wine sure should be.
