London pizza festival – head down for a slice of the action…

Date:

London Pizza festival is coming and you definitely want a pizza this…

For the love of all that is doughy, tomatoey and covered in cheese, our favourite Italian food is heading to London for a whole day of celebrations – the London Pizza Festival. Whilst we are still getting over the amazing-ness that is London’s cheese festival, we are hoping the city continues to churn out days of celebration for our favourite foods.

The event is taking place on Sunday the 28th of May at Borough Market and is organised by Young and Foodish’s Daniel Young, food critic and author of the global “where to eat pizza” guide. All in all, he knows his stuff and is more than ready to devote a day to it. Tickets cost under £30 a head and offer a whole day of foodie goodness.London Pizza Festival

On the day you can see six wood-fired pizza experts going head to head in the hope of being voted the best pizza, something voted by none other than the pizza punters themselves. aka you and I. Throughout the day as you try the different pizzas and get to vote for which is your favourite. A quarter slice of pizza from each competitor plus a drink is all included in your entry ticket fee.

Those competing for the pizza crown include L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele, Radio Alice, Made of Dough (last years champions) Napoli on the Road and Sud Italia as well as street food favourite Addomè.

Skinner’s Brewery will be on hand at the London Pizza Festival to supply their craft ales and Casa Cannoli and Sorbitum Ices will be on hand with cannoli and ice lollies to keep your palette refreshed and give you a break from the pizza action.

Buy your tickets for the London Pizza Festival for just £28 here and don’t miss out…
