Festival season is here and if you’re looking for a festival that is fun, fab and family friendly, look no further than Cornbury.
A one-of-a-kind experience, Cornbury Festival is quintessentially British – think charm, champagne and morris dancers, with a whole host of amazing music acts to follow. There’s dancing and jiving and singing and warbling, eating, drinking, camping and the opportunity for memory upon memory to be crafted over three magical days.
This year is set to be Cornbury festival’s last (boo!) but this guarantees it will be going out with a bang. A fantastic all-star line-up of artists will gather at Great Tew Park including Bryan Adams, Jools Holland, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Scouting for Girls, the Kaiser Chiefs, Keane’s frontman Tom Chaplin and Cornbury favourite Imelda May. There is music for everyone to enjoy in a chilled and relaxed atmosphere which all can enjoy.
Nicknamed ‘Poshstock’, Cornbury has been coined England’s most upmarket festival, and has featured many brilliant performers over the years – Joe Cocker, Amy Winehouse, Robert Plant, Paul Simon, Van Morrison, Blondie, Bryan Ferry and Georgie Fame amongst them. The festival has gained a reputation for its unique and friendly atmosphere and beautiful Cotswold location and its loyal audience of multigenerational families, aristocracy, Prime Ministers, film stars, farmers, rockers, even the odd royal.
‘We’ve had a fantastic run over the last 14 years and are very proud of the lovely event we’ve created’ says Phillimore: ‘This year we will end on a high. I know that every artist on the line-up will deliver an exceptional live show. Live performance is my great love and for me is the essence of Cornbury’.
