London Beauty Week heads to Covent Garden and you don’t want to miss it…

Get your beauty fix at Covent Garden with London Beauty Week…

We have London Fashion Week and London Cocktail Week and now an exciting new week is heading to the capital – London Beauty Week. Launching this September as a partnership between Covent Garden and the British Beauty Council, it will celebrate all that the beauty world has to offer. Running from Wednesday 11th to Sunday 15th there will be a whole host of things to get involved in, from a Beauty Playground to panel talks and a Glossybox Treasure hunt.

London Beauty Festival While Covent Garden always offers a plethora of things to see and do, this inaugural London Beauty Week will transform it into a beauty hub. Book in to see panel discussions at 13-14 Floral Street which will highlight London’s vital role in the global beauty industry. You will get a chance to hear talks on a host of topics such as: Sustainability is not a sloganChanging the beauty conversation on InstagramMen in BeautyBeauty Fake NewsThe Business of Beauty and Conscious Beauty. Panellists and hosts across the week will include Charlie Howard (Model, Author and Activist), Anna Marie Solowij (Beauty Journalist & Co Founder of @BeautyMARTUK), Jasmine Hemsley (Author and Co Founder of Hemsley & Hemsley), Genna Osler (Industry Head FMCG at Facebook), Deborah Joseph (Editor In Chief, Glamour Magazine), Jayn Sterland (Managing Director, Weleda), Rhian Stephenson (CEO, Psycle), Rachel Horsefield (CEO, The Hut Group), and more. Attendees will get limited edition goody bags, with tickets priced at £10 and all proceeds going direct to charity Beauty Banks. Tickets are available from EventBrite now.

London Beauty Festival The Beauty Playground at London Beauty Week will take place in Covent Garden’s East Piazza, inviting you to discover and experience the best of the beauty industry. You can enjoy ice cream from Weleda Skin Food, Miller Harris’s bright neon, bespoke illustrations (and ice cream via their exclusive pop up) as well as their two new vibrant fragrances. Floral Street Fragrance will bring a spinning prize wheel where you can discover your perfume persona and Molton Brown will be on hand to offer fragrance consultations. But that’s not all, there will also be Buns & Buns a bespoke beauty bar serving up Bottled Beauty cocktails in partnership with Molton Brown, inspired by the brand’s classic scents and presented in their signature bottles.

London Beauty Festival London Beauty Week is also pleased to announce The Beauty Bank as the official charity partner. This non-profit organisation, co-founded by Sali Hughes and Jo Jones, provides women, men and young people in need with essential toiletries, fashion products and “the little luxuries in life.” Visitors are invited to drop off unused beauty products at the London Beauty Week hub on the East Piazza to be donated to the cause. Monetary donations from the ticket price of all London Beauty Week events will also be donated to Beauty Banks.

London Beauty Week is on a mission to discover Next British Beauty Brand and is hosting a competition to offer start-up beauty companies the chance to win expert beauty business mentoring and a central London retail space. The judging panel includes some of the most influential names in the UK beauty industry including senior executives from The British Beauty Council, Covent Garden, WGSN, Harvey Nichols and Felix Capital. The winner will receive mentoring from two British Beauty Council trustees, a pop up store in Covent Garden – London’s Beauty Quarter, a listing in Harvey Nichols Beyond Beauty, financial mentoring from Felix Capital and a year’s subscription to WGSN Beauty – the world’s leading trend forecaster.
