The festive holidays are an exciting time when family and friends come together to celebrate Christmas, relax and have some fun and what better place to do this than London! With everything from bars and restaurants, to art galleries, the tower of London and some of the best markets in the UK, you can rest assured that you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to finding activities to do with your friends. We have put together some of our favourite activities to do with your couple friends over the holidays.

In fact, there’s so much to do that we’re sure you will want to extend your stay over the holidays just to try to fit more in! Hot Tub down London Canal
This is definitely something that you and your friends will enjoy doing together, and probably something that’s completely different to anything you have done before! This is your chance to hire a wood-fired, self-driving hot tub and take a sightseeing tour down London’s Canals. You can make the most of it by taking your own drinks along too and why not make your own entertainment too by playing some fun games to get to know each other properly!
Markets
There are plenty of small and larger markets in London, selling everything you can think of including plenty of independent market stalls, so if you’re looking to have a day out and pick up a bargain, then one of London’s markets should be top of your list. Camden market is one of the most famous markets to visit, with everything from handmade jewellery, to textiles and plenty of food stalls and even live music to keep you entertained. There are thousands of stalls, shops, bars and cafes to keep you busy all weekend.
Borough market is London’s most renowned food market and is located next to Big Ben in the heart of the capital. This is a great place to visit with friends and with half of the market being covered, it won’t matter if it’s raining.
Grafitti workshop
This is definitely something fun to do with your friends and will be something that you will talk about for years to come, and is perfect if you love art and being creative. London is famous for its art; especially graffiti artists such as Banksy so why not take a graffiti workshop in Shoreditch and learn to become an artist yourself.
Ice skating rinks
During the festive holidays in London there are always plenty of places to visit if you’re looking to go ice skating with your friends. Somerset house is one of the most scenic places; however there are usually many temporary ice rinks set up around the city including Hampton Court Palace, Alexandra Palace, Tower of London amongst others.
Tower of London
This has to be one of the most famous sightseeing locations in London and would definitely be a fun day out with your friends. You can take a tour around the towers and if you love history then there are plenty of facts to learn. You can’t visit the tower of London without visiting the Crown Jewels exhibition which is the most popular part of the Tower.
Sky garden
If you’ve had a busy day and are looking for somewhere to relax and unwind for a short break then the sky garden is perfect. It’s free to enter and is one of the tallest buildings in London with breathtaking views across the city. There are plenty of outside terrace areas within London; however this is definitely somewhere that’s worth a visit.
Skylight at Tobacco Dock
This is definitely a must see if you are visiting London during the holidays and is one of the most atmospheric pop-ups during winter. Enjoy a festive feast while being entertained with a Christmas cinema pop-up and there’s even an ice rink here for you to enjoy too.
Covent Garden
This is a favourite for many people visiting London and definitely somewhere not to be missed, especially for the festive period. Covent Garden is one of the city’s most historical locations which are decorated beautifully during Christmas. There is plenty to do with friends, plenty of shops and restaurants and this year sees London’s first ever mulled wine festival which is definitely something that you and your friends will all enjoy and help get you in the festive mood.
Ballie Ballerson Ball Pit
This is definitely one of the most popular fun activities for couples to do and will have you all feeling like a kid again. Located in Soho or Shoreditch is London’s first ball pit bar! There are two giant ball pits and even a signature glow pit which is inside a huge mirrored cage with lighting. Enjoy food and cocktails to make this one of the most fun evening activities going.
