Get the neon knee pads and leotards at the ready and become a real-life sporting Barbie by skating along the iconic boardwalk in Venice Beach, California, as seen in the film’s trailer. Located on the west coast between Venice and Santa Monica, Perry’s Café and Beach Rentals offers roller skates or bikes to cruise along the promenade. Soak up the eclectic atmosphere of Venice Beach, from the famous Muscle Beach outdoor gym, surfers catching some SoCal waves, vendors selling local produce and hand crafted goods and music blasting out across the boardwalk. Take a break from the action at Belle’s Beach House, and find a relaxed Tiki paradise serving delicious Hawaiian food or head up to Hotel Erwin’s rooftop bar for the best sunset views and sundowners.

Saddle up to explore the Wyoming countryside, where cowboy culture and rugged natural beauty are at its heart. Head to Eatons’ Ranch, the country’s first and oldest dude ranch, for a classic Wild West experience. Offering horseback rides through the Big Horn National Forest, fly fishing in the mountain waters of Wolf Creek or the chance to explore Sheridan, fondly known as the “King of Cowboy Towns”. With miles of white sandy beaches, Florida’s St.Pete is the perfect place for a beach getaway. Enter the Barbie world with a stay at the legendary ‘Pink Palace’ – The Don CeSar. Once the playground for the rich and famous during the Golden Age of Jazz, today the hotel combines old-world charm with modern sophistication. Beyond the Barbie-hued crown jewel on the Gulf Shores lies Egmont Key State Park, Honeymoon Island or Caladesi Island State Park for a day of snorkelling or dolphin-watching from the shores. Away from the beach, the thriving art scene brings St.Pete to life, and a walking mural tour is the best way to capture the colour of the city.
