Hotel Selina Brighton Review – Sea Views and City Style

Date:

Brighton’s a city packed with charm, character and vibrancy, where you’re not quite sure what to expect when you turn a corner. So when heading to the city, for a night, weekend or an even longer stay, why choose a hotel that doesn’t match this ethos? After all, if you’re going to do something, do it properly right? Hotel Selina Brighton is one of the city’s newest places to stay, offering a central point to stay that’s packed with charm and character without costing an arm and a leg. Whether you’re looking for a base for a night out, a getaway with the girls or a few days by the sea with your other half, it ticks all the boxes – and then some.

Hotel Selina Brighton Review – All You Need To Know

Located right on the promenade, Hotel Selina Brighton is a stone’s throw – quite literally – from the beach, as well as being in the midst of some of the city’s best bars, restaurants and attractions. You can take long walks along the seafront and feel the salty spray in your hair, you can dance until your feet hurt in a local bar, or you can be wined and dined in one of the many fantastic restaurants before rolling back to your comfortable bed for the night. Part of the Selina group with hotels all around the world, travellers love the ‘all-in-one’ approach when you’re after a place to stay alone, with friends, to meet people, or to work.

The Hotel

As far as first impressions go, Hotel Selina doesn’t disappoint. The lobby is undeniably cool and trendy, with a laid-back vibe. There are plush chairs to sink into if you fancy hanging out somewhere different from your room as well as free tea and coffee. Retro prints adorn the wall, mismatched furniture sits around a grand fireplace and foliage hangs from a myriad of surfaces offering a zen, tropical vibe.

The Rooms

Check-in is quick and easy and staff are friendly. The hotel offers events you can book onto including morning yoga or a bar crawl depending on what you’re after. The rooms at Hotel Selina are also varied in their approach; you can opt for a shared room, private or private plus. The private rooms come complete with free Wifi, a private bathroom, linens, towels, toiletries and full size mirrors ideal for getting ready in. The categories also offer the option for a standard size, standard mini or family room depending on who you’re travelling with and what your needs are.

The shared room sleeps up to four and enables you the chance to connect with other travellers should you be going solo. This benefits from free Wifi, a shared bathroom, linens, towels, free toiletries, a socket near the bed and a full sized mirror.

To Eat

Hotel Selina Brighton review

There isn’t a restaurant on-site for dinner, but there are plenty of places right on your doorstep to head to – we recommend you book a table ahead of time for weekends in particular as they can get busy! Breakfast-wise, you can book it for your stay and this will be served in their onsite coworking space. This includes your choice of pastry, a hot drink and a dish from their main menu such as muesli, avocado on toast or eggs.

Coworking

If you have work to do, their coworking space is the ideal spot to make your way through your to-do list in an interesting setting. Starting from £5 a day for a daily hot desk you can enjoy unlimited coffee, phone booths and inspiring design too.
