Busardi SS15 played to the theme ‘Air’ and took it literally to a whole new level…

Well, London Fashion Week has arrived! London is abuzz with the fashion frenzy, show upon show, leaving all of us fashion devotees darting from one place to the other. Whether it’s Somerset House a backstreet Warehouse, a tunnel or a Georgian Mansion, it’s a whirlwind of design excitement.

Busardi SS15 show, ‘Air’ kicked off the first day for some of our Seen In The City team. Familiar with the designer brand, having previously written about them, I was anticipating, femininity, elegance and intricate design details and, they did not disappoint.

Arriving at Dartmouth House, the classic 18th Century Georgian Mansion was a sight to see, standing tall in all it’s architectural glory, the building was most certainly the perfect match for the brand. Descending double staircases and intricate interior details left you mesmerised at the grandeur of the setting. Taking place in the Long Drawing Room, the show ran through the two beautiful rooms, adorned with glistening chandeliers and ornate fireplaces, complimenting the character of the collection.

The collection was all that you would expect from the term ‘Air’, flowing, clean cut and in ways, beautifully simplistic. There were fine details on every piece from delicate ostrich feathers to lacing and brocade textures, the small details took the pieces to a new level. The strength of the collection lay fully on the calm neutral pieces, golds, creams, and subtle pinks, gentle on the eye but wonderfully exciting with an innovative take on the classic dress shapes.

Models hair and make up gave a definitive nod towards the concept of ‘Air’. Messy, tousled hair, that gave the windswept look was complimented with strong contouring, dewy skin and defined eyes leaving all attention on the bejewelled ear cuff accessories.

In all, we were treated to a wonderful show that took the concept of ‘Air’ to another level, a beautiful collection shown in a stunning setting.
