And its only a short journey from the UK making it a great option if you don’t like flying or sailing for too long.
Making your way to Guernsey is easy with a variety of transport links available and at a very competitive price. If you like to travel by sea you could book a trip for two to Guernsey through Condor Ferries, a favoured option for many. Shell Beach
If you are a water baby or you just love to discover beautiful scenery’s, Shell beach could possibly be the highlight of your trip to Guernsey. A beautiful location for a family stroll or a romantic walk, Shell beach is known to be one of the top beaches in Guernsey, due to its spectacularly wide, sweeping beach and golden sands. Sitting at the far side of the island, it’s traffic free, a perfect place to enjoy nature and an ice cream from their beach café in summer months.
Cycle tours
Guernsey, known for its beautiful scenery and beautiful beaches is full of exciting cycling routes ready for you to explore as a family or a couple. Being a relatively small island, nothing is too far to cycle to, with quiet country lanes dotted around for a peaceful ride, free of the stress of cars or busses overtaking you. Many of the rides take you past quaint pubs for you to enjoy a drink or a meal before heading to your next destination. Explore the Town Centre Market of St. Peter Port
If you are staying near St. Peter Port make sure to visit their town centre for a whole host shopping experiences and dining. Whether you are just wanting to potter around, looking for a place for dinner, mid-day lunch, it’s all there and so much more. The town itself has a beautiful setting and the perfect Victorian back drop, an ideal destination whilst visiting Guernsey.
Diving
Something many find surprising is how there are a number of great diving sites in Guernsey. This is due to their clear and clean waters stretching on for miles. No matter your ability, whether that be a novice diver or an experienced diver there are many sites along the coast ranging in depths with some only being a short boat ride out. There are also several certified organisations that will help you become a PADI-certified diver if you are looking to further your knowledge of diving. Castle Cornet
When going away, you can normally expect numerous historic buildings and landmarks to visit and in Guernsey this is no exception. Located at St. Peter’s Port, at the mouth of the harbour is Castle Cornet: an 800-year-old castle, combined with five museums and four period gardens. Deceptively bigger than it appears (recommended time to explore is 3 hours), this castle offers hundred’s of years of history on the island, breath-taking views of the scenery around and numerous activities within.
