A real blend of exquisite entertainment, mouth-watering food and tantalizing cocktails, The London Cabaret Club is must-visit…
The London Cabaret Club has continued to grow since it’s conception, people flocking from all over for a classier night of entertainment. To be wined and dined with world-class performers in front of them. The London Cabaret Club began as a pop-up venue in the Arts club in 2013, before setting up permanently in the Bloomsbury Ballroom where they promise to deliver a thrilling night of entertainment. We recently headed down to view one of their iconic shows for ourselves…
Your evening begins in the bar – a secluded and classy affair with plush furniture, dim lighting and a cocktail menu that ticks all the boxes. Sip on a glass of fizz or classic cocktail and listen to the dulcet tones of live music, setting the precedence for the evening ahead.
The Food
At the moment the London Cabaret Club theme is the Queen of Roses and it’s a menu that royalty would certainly approve of! Choose from either the three-course gold menu, or the five-course diamond menu (which includes canapes and cheese board as well as the three other courses.) The starter includes crab three ways or grilled artichoke, the main – chicken three ways or gnocchi with roasted pumpkin and dessert – baked white chocolate cheesecake or passion fruit creme brulee. Be sure to inform the venue beforehand of any dietary requirements. Each dish is cooked well, packed with flavours and the ideal accompaniment to the entertainment. The courses are brought out to you throughout the intervals of the show so you can enjoy watching the performances whilst eating and drinking and not feel like the food is interrupting. Along with this, we enjoyed a delicious bottle of red which complimented the food well. They have an extensive wine list which you can view on their website.
The Show
London’s cabaret secret has to be the fact the performances are so spectacular that your eyes never leave the stage even for one second. These performers are not your average karaoke singers or Saturday night jazz dancers, they are true professionals and at the top of their game. They never stop wowing you.
The Queen of Roses is a traditional British show with a modern twist, turning it into an immersive cabaret experience, featuring an evening of majestic life performances. The show takes you on a sensational tour of British heritage, celebrating Queen Elizabeth I, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth II inspired by key moments from each of their reigns. It’s glitzy, it’s glamorous and it’s really good fun. The costumes are awe-inspiring, the acts rehearsed to perfection and the stage setup fantastic.
This venue is designed to get the audience engaged and feeling part of the show, with the stage set out in the middle of the room and the audience located around the outside of the centre. Wherever you are seated you are guaranteed a great view of the stage and it’s perfect for the performers to really get you involved and immerse you within their acts.
After Show
When the show’s over, your evening really hasn’t ended. They have a club next door which they open up until 3am for you to dance the night away. And if you are lucky some of the performers may even come out to join you.
If you are looking for a great evening out with your friends, a date night with your partner or even a Hen do/ Stag do this venue should certainly not be missed. You can check their website here to find out more information: http://www.thelondoncabaretclub.com/ and to book your tickets.
