It is the perfect place to go for a cosy and quick bite to eat for anything you might be craving. Whether you are taking a lunch break, heading home off the tube, or just looking for a nice meal and a drink this place has got you covered.
Market Place Vauxhall has Indian, Thai, Argentinian, Italian, Jamaican, Persian, Sri Lankan, Mexican, cakes and tea so it’s really hard not to find something that is going to sate whatever craving you may have. Right when you get out of Vauxhall Station you can find a global mix of different small restaurants next door. The only thing that is difficult here is trying to pick between all of the great flavours on display.
The building itself is physically connected to the station with entrances located just outside of the exits. The interior is a combination of wooden fixtures and stalls with vivid green plants accenting them creating a bright and pleasant atmosphere. It is a surprisingly satisfying juxtaposition to the original structure it is inside which resembles a tunnel with concrete floors and metal ceiling that provides a shortcut to the otherside of the building.
Even if you aren’t stopping in just for food the marketplace also has a bar with a variety of beers and cocktails that also offers a happy hour. They also put on quiz nights in which they offer prizes and other events which often make use of the DJ area right next to the bar. The music is often laidback and a nice accompaniment to any sit down meal.
Vauxhall Marketplace offers something for everyone and even for locals it never ceases to offer something new and exciting. Whether it is trying to eat at every restaurant they offer one day at a time or stopping in for a quiz night and a beer it is definitely worth a try.
