Because if there’s nothing we love more than tea, it’s a brand new tea to pour into our cups and saucers. Enter Bellevue…
Bellevue’s packaging is bright and colourful, with each tea being assigned a signature colour, and each bag comes individually wrapped with a string on the bag, so the last bag is as fresh as the first.
Loose leaf tea is always the best when you can have it, and Bellevue do sell loose leaf too! However these little bags of goodness are perfect for when you’re rushed in the morning and perhaps don’t have time for leaves. These brew bags are the ones to go for.
English Breakfast Tea
A blend of leaves from the slopes of Mount Kenya and Sri Lankan tea. This UK favourite isn’t quite strong enough for me but still a delicious blend best enjoyed with breakfast, of course!
Earl Grey
A robust fragrance but delightfully light. Handpicked tea from Sri Lanka and given its distinct flavour with bergamot oil. This Earl Grey is absolutely delicious and I will certainly be swapping my regular brand for these.
Decaffeinated Tea
Never a fan of decaf tea, this is surprisingly smooth and strong. These leaves have been especially selected by the people behind the Bellevue magic to ensure the tea is satisfying and just as good as regular tea for those who want to cut down on their caffeine.
Berry Infusion
I often find fruity teas often smell much more delicious than they taste, but this premium tea was surprisingly juicy and flowing with flavour. I tried it over ice as suggested on the box and it was exceptionally refreshing!
So pop the kettle on, it’s time for tea!
I’m a little suspicious of the other reviews as I’m afraid i couldn’t agree at all, perhaps their friends have been trying to help? I’ve just bought a bag costing £26 which I would have hoped for something interesting especially as their is a ‘Great Taste’ sticker attached. The actual favour was quite poor, very little aroma and a quite harsh tartness in the flavour. I would say it’s well past its sell by date or has been badly stored.
I had recently tried a £2.99 bag of the same tea from China town and it was about the same, except without the boutique marketing.
Finally, it might be worth noting the mark-up they have from the ‘Tea Studio’ in India. You can buy the tea direct from them for £30 a kilo, for which Bellevue is selling retail at £104. This is such an extortion is actually very insulting. It leads you into thinking the tea is somehow exception when it isn’t, they just gone lucky with a ‘Good Taste’ award one year and are flogging it for what they can.
I will stick to my China Town brew!
