Take your autumn night dining up a notch with Bill’s Restaurant and bar’s special disco-dining night fever available until the 13th of November…
Nestled down Soho’s famous Brewer Street, Bill’s Restaurant and Bar provides the perfect spot to escape the cold and relax for a drink and bite to eat. Known for its eclectic yet cosy vibe, the brand is running a special disco-dining Night Fever until the 13th of November.
We headed down for ourselves to see what to expect, looking forward to sampling their brand-new specials and cocktails. Upon arrival, we were seated in the main area of the restaurant, near enough to the DJ but not too close that we couldn’t hear each other speak. The atmosphere was electric, the lights low and the music already pulsing. The menu all takes inspiration from the Studio 54 era and each Bill’s restaurant has its own carefully curated nod to the infamous disco decade.
We perused the menu, eyeing up the likes of the Studio 54 Steak au Poivre (£18.45) with rosemary salted fries and a green leaf salad, the Le Freak Vegan Burger (£13), The Funky Chicken (£12.45) topped with smoked streaky bacon and goats’ cheese and The Dancing Salmon (£13) with lemon flavoured rice and black turtle beans.
We both opted for a Disco Inferno Passionfruit Martini and a trio of starters to share including mini cocktail sausages, calamari and bread with oil & balsamic vinegar. For mains, we chose the Studio 54 Steak u Poivre accompanied by rosemary salted fries. As we tucked in, a live band made their way around the restaurant, playing instruments in front of us as we ate. Just one of the many surprises and great things about this offer, you also get a free cocktail and dessert with every meal purchased from the Night Fever Menu.
Once our starters were finished, we moved on to our mains. The steak was cooked to perfection, beautifully tender and packed with flavour. The accompanying fries had the right balance of salt and rosemary and were piping hot when served. The music continued in the background and some people were up dancing next to the DJ booth – it was clear the night was rolling on and the buzz was electric. It’s a far cry from dining somewhere stuffy and pretentious and instead, it feels like you get all the benefits of a great restaurant with the buzz and atmosphere of somewhere you want to spend the rest of your evening.
Feeling full but definitely not wanting to miss their range of mouthwatering desserts we sip on a couple of cocktails – the Cosmic Candy Girl (£8.50) and the Electric Boogie Ice Tea (£6) and opt for Bill’s Sundae Night Fever (£5.50) – a delicious chocolate and vanilla ice cream sundae with salted caramel sauce and a triple chocolate brownie. It’s indulgent yet not sickly and is the perfect way to round off the meal.
Bill’s disco-dining Night Fever evenings will run with live DJs in selected sites on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. Find out more information and book your table here.
