Mey London are giving you the chance to take home a piece of Game of Thrones for yourself…
We’ve given you Game of Thrones inspired villas for holidays that are out of this world, but how about the chance to wear jewellery actually worn by characters from the hit HBO series? Well now you can, thanks to a fantastic design partnership from GoT costume designer Michele Clapton and London jewellery label Yunus & Eliza. The result: MEY DESIGNS, presenting an incredible array of strong, sculptural pieces that will make a statement on any occasion.
The brainchild of designers Michele Clapton, Yunus Ascott and Eliza Higginbottom, MEY DESIGNS offers authentic pieces straight off the décolletage of Daenerys Targaryen. The inaugural sterling silver collection, aptly named “DragonStorm”, includes the iconic Daenerys Drogon Neck Sculpture seen on Emilia Clarke in Series 5 and 6 of Game of Thrones. Retailing at £1,900, the prominent piece is hand carved and there’s a wrist cuff to match.
However, if you’re looking for something more affordable, the stackable dragon spine rings start at just £65. The rings are highly wearable and feature gorgeous green orbs representing dragon eggs or striking skeletal dragon heads.
Our favourite piece from the collection is this amazing dragon choker that wraps around the neck. Bold and beautiful, it’s an eye catching piece that represents both strength and courage.
We also love these “flight” earrings for their powerful, structured frame. And, at £210, they won’t break the bank.
There are also dainty dragon egg pendants, for a more subtle look.
Like Khaleesi’s character, Michele Clapton says the jewellery collection is designed to capture the qualities that make up her complex psyche: “She’s so beautiful, complicated and dynamic.” The sculptural style of the designs is equally reminiscent of Game of Thrones’ leading lady. Co-founders Yunus and Eliza say that Daenerys’ personality lends itself to themes that can be interpreted in jewellery design: “We understood what [Michele] needed for Khaleesi – All these pieces are intricately hand carved, cast in solid silver and have a beautiful juxtaposition between light and dark, strength and fragility.”
