This blossoming eatery is also just a stones throw away from Trafalgar Square as well as the Horse Guards Parade, making it the perfect setting for dinner or an Instagram snap.
The restaurant comes with an outdoor seating area and a rooftop terrace where you can sip this season’s signature botanical cocktails, craft beers and wines. The design inside utilises simplistic wood panelling and low-back leather chairs.
The menu has a strong British summer theme with seasonal dishes including, Suffolk asparagus with purple sprouting, egg & hazelnuts, Dexter steak burger with maple cured bacon and treacle tart with clotted cream.
During my visit, for starter I had Flamed Newlyn squid & wild garlic emulsion, which given how difficult squid is to cook was exquisitely tender and refreshing. The accompanying homemade sourdough (from a bakery in Bermondsey) was a lovely touch which typified the attention to detail at Inn The Park. After seeing a table nearby order the 12oz dry aged Dexter sirloin on the bone with béarnaise sauce and hand cut chips I knew what my main was going to be. The steak was very slightly overdone, however the hand cut chips and béarnaise sauce were delicious and more than made up for this. For desert I’ve got two words for you: ‘treacle’ and ‘tart’. I barley had time to savour the taste before it was utterly demolished – one of the best sweet dishes I have ever had and well worth a try during your visit.
Overall Inn The Park has managed to create a distinct offering which comfortably caters for families, couples and those searching for a casual drink. No matter if you’re popping in for lunch with friends or dinner with your other half you’re more than guaranteed a mouth-watering meal and ambience you won’t forget.
