Airports are our gateway to the entire World, this is why I find them such magical places, although to get to these far away lands, you’ve to survive a couple of levels first. On the first level you’ve to accomplish are the escalators, but they don’t allow you to carry your luggage on them, so you’ve to use the lift and play human tetris in there. If you’re like me, you’ll try and challenge those escalator signs and regret this life choice once, (or if) you make it to the top. Then once you survive the lengthy check in queue, you’ve even longer queues through security, and it’s here where you know you haven’t packed a restricted item, but your brain will say that you have. Then, once you’re out the other side, you’ve a sea of passengers all impatiently waiting and huddled around either a socket, coffee shop or (yet another) WHSmith awaiting their gate numbers, and of course the lucky ones have taken the best seats in departures…or have they? Let me introduce you to Clubrooms at Heathrow T3.

Heathrow Clubrooms T3 – What To Expect?
Heathrow’s newest best kept secret, Clubrooms at Heathrow T3 is nestled away but clearly signed in Heathrow Terminal 3. It’s spacious, luxurious, smells incredible, and has the best runway views in the house, and guess what? Queuing in this haven is not a thing. Hungry? You’ll order from their a la carte menu, and they’ll bring you delicious food and drinks to match any pallete to you. You can simply sit back and relax. You can charge your devices from their many sockets and just take in the calm and tranquility before your flight. Clubrooms at Heathrow T3 is the latest to open from the No1 Lounges and is a fantastic and much-awaited addition to the terminal.

I’m a strong believer that first impressions count and when I attended the launch at Clubrooms there were a couple of things which really made an impression before I even stepped foot into the lounge. The first was the incredible subtle aroma which came to greet me from and evoked memories of holidays and sunshine. It also made me envious, as I wasn’t at Heathrow to embark on a long haul flight to some exotic place, I was headed to the Piccadilly line after my lounge visit. The power of smell is wizardry. In my head I was somewhere else. During the evening I was delighted to meet John and Paul, the creatives who came up with the Clubrooms scent. I asked them why they chose this particular smell for Clubrooms and they shared with me “we wanted to create an immersive, uplifting, and calming atmosphere that felt both luxurious and welcoming like a sanctuary from the airport chaos. We focused on natural, sustainable ingredients that support emotional wellness: warm woods for grounding, subtle citrus for energy, and botanical greens for clarity. Each space was designed with its own identity, but all tied together with that signature “clean air” freshness that reflects our eco values.”

What are the interiors of the Clubrooms at Heathrow T3 like?
The other stand out feature for me was that Clubrooms is divided into smaller rooms, meaning it felt much more intimate and exclusive than one large space. Considering it measures 390 square metres with space for 116 guests, it never once feels crowded. Instead, you can carve out your own little corner of calm and just relax in your own space.
It was also decorated beautifully, with the elegant furnishings of the rooms reminding me of being on set in the library at Downton Abbey. The decor in Clubrooms is truly beautiful, encompassing a very British design aesthetic that’s homely and bright. They even have an orangery, where if you’re a massive aviation junkie (nerd) like me, you’ll be able to spy on the Emirates a380s. The plants in the orangery may be fake, but are still green and a wonderful addition to this stress free and breathable environment. It’s hard to imagine that Clubrooms was once just a concrete room, a totally blank canvas. The transformation is really quite something.

And the Food and Drinks?
When in the lounge, your food is served to your table, but Clubrooms do also have a grab and go treat station which has freshly baked brownies, biscuits and flapjack and of course they’ve a coffee machine at the ready also. Their extensive bar menu features award-
winning wines, bottled beers and premium spirits aswell as cocktails from an Aperol Spritz or Kir Royale, to a Bloody Mary. If you don’t see what you’re craving, the bar staff are happy to whip up any of your favourites.

Designed for those who want a luxury lounge experience in an intimate setting. Clubrooms is effortlessly indulgent with its iconic style, catering to guests looking for the very best pre- flight experiences. Whether heading on your honeymoon and want to get it started with a pop (is there anything better than the pop of a Champagne cork as you await your flight to somewhere fabulous?!) Want somewhere more tranquil to wait when heading solo, or fancy a bit of peace when away for work, Clubrooms at Heathrow T3 has it all.
Clubrooms will transport you to a place of tranquility and zen without even leaving the tarmac.
