While Brighton is filled with a whole host of exciting bars and places to go this festive season, they have a brand new pop-up bar to go to celebrate, to relax and to warm up away from the biting cold. THOR’s tipi bar is set in Jubilee Square and a real tardis-style treat. From the outside it looks like a true viking tent, with the words “THOR’s” on a sign above the door. Head through the door and you are transported to a whole new world, where you expect to see sledges pulled by and snow flurrying past the entrance. It is magical – with fairy lights entwined around open beams and a large open fire crackles and pops, giving off warmth as well as a cosy glow. If you get there early enough, be sure to head to this spot for it’s a real wintery treat.
Wooden benches sit invitingly, with fur blankets for extra warmth and barrels act as tables for drinks. Head to the bar and you can order a whole myriad of delicious winter tipples – from mulled wine and hot cocoa, to alcoholic salted caramel hot chocolate and baileys cocktails – choices are endless.
If the hot Christmassy tipples don’t take your fancy, you can choose from a range of cider or ales, as well as other soft drinks. Getting peckish? Well, while THOR’s tipi bar Brighton doesn’t serve food per se, head just outside for a Wolfsmouth burger and bring it back to the warmth of the THOR tipi. Choose from a host of delicious flavours – from festive Turkey burgers to BBQ ranch burgers – be sure to ask the bar staff for a menu.
