Life nowadays is so busy – juggling work, friends, hobbies and studying that by the time I want to sit down with a book, I’ve found I’ve run out of enough hours in the day. And this is where the new and innovative app Joosr comes in. Joosr are an e-book company who offer twenty minute summaries of key non fiction books allowing me to read all the information I would in a longer publication but in the space of twenty minutes. Evernote (Android and iOS, Free)
Being in a creative industry I am always getting inspired with new ideas yet a lot of the time I find it’s when I least expect it: Walking to work or up the top of a climbing wall, the ideas suddenly pop in my head which are then forgotten when I want to put them into practise. This is where Evernote comes in! This genius app allows me to quickly drop down that opening sentence to my new article, take a picture to capture a memory or make a voice recording. I can then log into my Evernote account on my computer or tablet, take the notes, pictures or recordings out of Evernote and start to develop that idea into something bigger than just a thought in my head. It works across all platforms so it doesn’t matter whether you’re an android or apple user – just download the app, share your ideas and get them written down so that they aren’t forgotten about.

App In the air (Android and IOS, Free)
App in the air, is (as it says when you open the app up) “Your Personal Travel Assistant.” As a writer I happen to be very fortunate in the way that I am able to travel to different countries and see the world, which is why this app has become so useful to me. App in the air allows you to organise all your flights so that they are in one location; just add the flight by its flight number or search it by its route. You are able to keep track of your checkout time, boarding, time of take off and the landing times. It will even give you updates if there are any delays in place in your airport or any of the airports you are planning to fly to. App In the air has really kept me organised with my flights and hasn’t let me down yet!

MyfitnessPal (Android and IOS, Free)
There are so many ways to lose weight and different fitness apps to use, but for me Myfitnesspal gave me the biggest support in my journey to losing a stone. My goal was to eat 500 calories less a day in the hope to lose 1-2 pounds a week and with Myfitnesspal’s help I did exactly that. MyFitnesspal has a diary to track what you are eating throughout the day and allows you to scan the foods in the supermarkets so I knew what I was consuming. It also allowed me to keep track of my weight and amount of exercise I was doing so that I could keep on track to my goal. Overall Myfitnesspal was a really easy app to use which completely helped me achieve my goals which is which I recommend it for you to achieve yours.
