Go for a splash in the Serpentine Lido
Hyde Park is popular for many reasons – from the beautiful views to the great location, and if you’re looking for a spot to cool off, it caters for this too! Head to the Serpentine Lido where you can splash about to your hearts content. Take in the rays in the private sunbathing area where you can also hire a sun lounger, head to the kiosk for tasty lunchtime snacks, and take the kids to the gated family area where you can find a paddling pool, sandpit and swings.

Relax sea-side in an urban beach
One of London’s best urban beaches is returning for another year – Neverland. Ideal for lazy summer afternoons in Fulham, it is decked out with sand, cabanas, daybeds and beach huts perfect for whiling the day away. If you get hungry there will be snacks from Jimmy Garcia’s pop-up restaurant the BBQ club where you can also enjoy cocktails, beer and bottomless brunch. Hire out a boat in Regent’s Park
When the sun is shining, there is nothing quite like taking a boat trip in one of the city’s top parks. Head to Regent’s Park where you can hire out pedaloes, taking in the views and the atmosphere. Once you are finished, why not grab an ice cream and relax on the grass? Or bring a book and picnic to while away the rest of the afternoon.
Boat and pedalos can be hired from the Boathouse. A £5.00 deposit is required for all bookings.

Since opening in 2012, gelateria 3Bis has brought its artisanal gelato to the capital.
