Bombay Saphire Spiced Apple Tea Cocktail

This Spiced Apple Tea cocktail is the perfect winter tipple for the Christmassy break. Enriched with warm winter spices, fruits and a splash of gin it will keep you and your guests warm and instantly impress. Perfect for when the weather is cold outside, it needs to be on your list of cocktails to make this Christmas…

Ingredients

  1.  100 ml Bombay Sapphire
  2.  40 ml Martini® Bianco
  3.  225 ml Water
  4.  4.5 tsp honey
  5.  3 Whole thin apple slices
  6.  1 Cinnamon Stick
  7.  2 Cloves
  8.  2 Cardamom pods (broken)
  9.  1/2 Vanilla pod
  10.  1 Black tea bag
  11.  50 ml Unfiltered/cloudy apple juice
  12.  20 ml Fresh lemon juice
  13.  Orange zest
  14.  Freshly grated nutmeg

Method

In a saucepan add the water, honey, apple juice and apple slices, cinnamon, cloves, cardamon and vanilla pod and bring the mixture to boil.

Turn off the heat and add a tea bag to the saucepan and wait 3 minutes. Now remove the tea bag, spices and apple slices (retain for garnish).

Pour in the Bombay Sapphire, Martini® Bianco and fresh lemon juice and heat for 25 seconds stirring continually. Finally, strain into two teacups and garnish with the orange zest, apple slices and a sprinkle of freshly grated nutmeg.
