Three Ways To Say Goodbye To A Beloved Pet

When a pet passes on it can be tough on the whole family. Here are some ways to say goodbye…

Pets are so much more than just an animal, they very quickly become a part of the family. They have their own personalities and fit in just like any member does. Whether you have a dog, a cat, a rabbit or even a hamster, it is crazy how soon you realise you can’t live without them. You can work hard to give them the best life possible, until one day they will inevitably pass away. While this is an unavoidable part of the life cycle, it is devastating nonetheless. This is why it can help with the grieving process to give your furry friend a proper send off. Here are three ways to say goodbye to a beloved pet…

Cremate or bury your pet

While saying goodbye to your pet is hard, it can be very healing to do a proper send off. Before doing anything, check for best offers online of pet caskets and urns, then start planning your mini ceremony. You could all say some words, and reminisce on the good times you had together over the years.

Get a print up on the wall of your pet

A great way to remember your pet when it has passed is to get a picture of them up on the wall. This might be painful at first, but will soon become a lovely reminder of them that you and your family will fondly remember each time you see it. You could get a portrait done from a photo, or just frame a favourite photo you have.

Plant something in the garden in memory of them

Your garden is a great place to put something in memory of your pet. It could be they had a favourite spot they liked to lie, or a plant they liked to smell. If so, you could plant something in memory of them that will make you think of them each time you see it.

These are just a few of the ways you can say goodbye to your pet. What are your own ideas? Let us know in the comments below.
