Fishworks’ lobster festival to return to Covent garden post-lockdown

2020 might be coming to an end, but it’s no reason to write off the rest of the year completely. Fishworks’ lobster festival is returning to Covent Garden once lockdown lifts and there’s still time to pinch some tickets…

While 2020 has thrown us many curveballs and the new year is a welcome one, you don’t have to let the next few weeks be a total write off. Given yourself something brilliant to look forward to when lockdown lifts again with Fishworks’ lobster festival. Thanks to high demand two new dates have been added. Join Fishworks Covent Garden on Tuesday the 15th and Wednesday the 16th of December for a decadent six-course dinner showcasing the very best of lobster with paired wines. It is an evening you won’t forget in a hurry!

Fishworks’ lobster festival

The Lobster Festival is known for serving London’s freshest fish and seafood and will feature a tasting menu created by Head Chef, Chris Reeder. Starting with a lobster bisque served with a cheddar biscuit, the menu unfolds with a classic lobster thermidor on flaky puff pastry, drizzled with a cherry tomato and lobster-infused oil. Showcasing different cooking techniques, the second half of the menu heroes the lobster tail. Firstly, butter-poached and served on a croquette with garlic chips and parsley coulis and then served grilled with a white bean and chorizo cassoulet. Cleanse the palette with a refreshing dessert of folded Italian pastry filled with creamy ricotta cheese with passion fruit sorbet.

The indulgence does stop there as every course will be paired with a unique wine, expertly chosen by FishWorks’ Master Sommelier Tim McLaughlin-Green. Following all socially-distanced measures, tickets are available on FishWorks’ website for £85 per person – be sure to get them while you can!
