MSC Euribia, the most-energy efficient cruise ship design ever has officially launched, showing just how you can be sustainable at sea. Powered by LNG and featuring a range of technologies and solutions that minimise its impact on the air and marine environment, as well as all the features we know and love about MSC Cruises, it sets precedence for the future of cruising.
The Naming Ceremony
The launch for MSC Euribia took place on the 8th of June 2023 at Copenhagen Port, honouring traditional maritime heritage and was presented by renowned Danish television host, actress and model Sarah Grünewald. Guests from all around the world watched the ceremony and MSC’s long-standing Godmother and globally recognised screen legend Sophia Loren was on hand to officially name the ship.

MSC Euribia’s commitment to Sustainability and Marine Life:
MSC Euribia is the 22nd vessel in the MSC Cruises fleet, spanning 19 decks, 43 metres wide, with 2,419 cabins and boasting 35,000m2 of public space. It is named after the ancient goddess Eurybia who harnessed the winds, weather and constellations to master the seas, furthering the vision of the ship to master the deployment of state-of-the-art technologies to protect and preserve the precious marine ecosystem. There has never been such a focus on travelling sustainably as there is now, with environmental impact playing a large part in the holidays we choose to go on. A 2021 study from booking.com found 83% of global travelers think sustainable travel is vital, with 61% saying the pandemic has made them want to travel more sustainably in the future. MSC Euribia is paving the way for this to happen.

- An impressive five pools and the ship’s very own coral theme Ocean Cay AquaPark, one of the largest and most elaborate waterparks at sea, with three water slides for endless fun.
- The 945-seat Delphi Theatre offers world-class live entertainment every evening with a full seven-day programme of big-production shows.
- The ship offers 21 bars and lounges with five outdoor and 16 indoor areas to meet the needs and preferences of all.
