Let’s face it, while we’d all like to take a leisurely lunch, time and work just doesn’t permit. But why should that mean you need to eat unhealthily? SOW Great Marlborough Street Soho are changing the fast food concept from greasy burgers and fries to delicious health bowls you can grab on the go.
The new kid on the block, SOW was created by Frederick Forster, a former National Chef of the Year and Roux Scholar. It is set to be open from breakfast through to late evening and is on a mission to bring ‘good food to the high street’ with a menu that draws inspiration from all around the world. Each bowl is prepared fast and fresh, layered with natural ingredients and complimenting textures to create a satisfying one-dish meal that ticks all the boxes. With health-conscious, vegan and gluten-free options, there’s something for everyone.
Grab a breakfast bowl on your way to the office and enjoy the likes of coconut milk pancakes; a smoked salmon, egg and spinach bun; or bean stew with avocado and eggs, whilst nourishment from lunchtime through to dinner comes in the form of fresh chargrilled tuna salad; Thai green curry; and lamb meatballs with couscous, tomatoes and Greek yoghurt. Vibrant vegan and vegetarian dishes include a quinoa salad with chargrilled broccoli; and butternut squash, aubergine and chickpea curry, whilst tasty sweet treats include chia pudding with dates and roasted cashews. Coffee comes courtesy of speciality roasters, Allpress, tea is organic from Joe’s Tea Co and there’s an array of juices and soft drinks, including kombucha, to quench thirsts.
Head down for their soft launch from 11th – 16th June with 50% off food for everyone, and if you’re one of the lucky ones through the doors at 12 noon on opening day, 17th June, a choice of main course bowls will await free of charge.
