Smirnoff Seltzers offer the taste of Summer

Forget a G&T for this is the summer of the seltzer! Find out more about the new Smirnoff Seltzer, the BBQ, picnic and party must-have…

Summer is well and truly here and we can finally head out and enjoy the sunshine. If you are looking for a drink that you can take to the park, chill with at a BBQ or enjoying in an evening without a hangover the next day, Smirnoff seltzers are just the thing. Seltzers have been storming the US market in the past few months and are fast heading to the UK, bringing their softer, healthier (yet no less tasty) offerings. It’s a great choice if you’re looking for something with less carbs than a beer and a lower ABV than wine. After all, sparkling water is cool, it is a healthy way to imbue some flavour with your drinks, without ingesting the calories and sugar content of squash or juices. So why not take this concept and add a dash of alcohol to it? This is just what Smirnoff have done, leaving us with a refreshing, delicious drink everyone else will be envious of at your next BBQ!

Smirnoff Seltzer

The new 250ml canned Smirnoff Seltzer comes in two flavours – Orange & Grapefruit and Raspberry & Rhubarb. Both are made from a blend of Smirnoff No.21 Premium Vodka, sparkling water and natural fruity flavours. Each can contains 72 calories per serving which is almost 50% less than in a bottle of beer and 54% less than in a glass of 175ml wine.

If you are sceptical about how good these can taste, don’t be. While some fizzy waters can taste artificial or overpoweringly sweet, these have the perfect balance between flavoured and refreshing.

After seeing the trend of Hard Seltzers soar in the US, we’re delighted to offer consumers refreshing tasting Smirnoff Seltzers, at 72 calories per 250ml serving.”

The Smirnoff Seltzer 250ml cans are available to buy from Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and Tesco and cost £1.80 a can.
