There is a lot of unusual art around Prague, but the rotating head of Franz Kafka is a really special sculpture created by David Černý.
Located near Wenceslas Square, this is a huge, 39-ton work of art that represents the internal conflicts of the writer Franz Kafka. As the name suggests, the head is made of several rotating panels and in-build motors that make it move. The sculpture rotates frequently, so be sure to stop by it and enjoy this marvellous piece.
Visit the Jewish Quarter
Take a stroll around the Jewish Quarter, where you can enjoy beautiful buildings and artefacts that have witnessed gruesome moments for the Jewish community, especially before the Second World War. It’s alleged that the Nazis meant to create a Jewish museum which is why so many important parts of the neighbourhood remained untouched. Now, it’s one of the main visiting spots for tourists in Prague.
Have a Czech Climbing Experience
Climbing can be both an extreme sport for thrill seekers or a fun choice of things to do in Prague for couples. If you love climbing outdoors, visit Petrohrad, just 80 km from Prague. There, you can find a lovely, quiet forest that qualifies as one of the best places for bouldering in Europe. Visit Bohemian Paradise, also known as Cesky Raj, for challenging but amazing sandstone climbing. It’s a well-known destination for its stunning landscape and memorable experiences. If you prefer a more relaxing time, try one of the several climbing centres in and around Prague.
